Recommended Reading: The Book Thief

Today’s recommended reading is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It is a historical fiction novel set just before the start of World War II and follows the narrator, Death, who takes interest in Liesel, a young girl who endures a significant amount of suffering yet manages to overcome. This book is recommended for students in eighth grade and up.
