Argyle responded to the disappointment of a New Year’s Day loss to league leaders Swindon Town by delivering a masterclass on the road in defeating Scunthorpe United 3-1 in Sky Bet League Two.

Manager Ryan Lowe had no doubt he would get the right reaction from his players and the sizzling run of recent form has taken the Pilgrims into the play-off positions.

A double from youngster Luke Jephcott sandwiched a delightful volley from Byron Moore, as Argyle overwhelmed Scunthorpe with a clinical display.
