Today we conclude our discussion of "The Magic of Thinking Big" on the topic of FEAR.

Schwartz says, “Fear is real. And we must recognize it exists before we can conquer it. Most fear today is psychological. Worry, tension, embarrassment, panic, all stem from mismanaged negative imagination.”

What he's saying here is that what we're afraid of is imagination more often than not. Not always. But more often than not, what we're afraid of is made up, but that doesn't mean the fear isn't genuinely there.

Schwartz goes on to say, ACTIONS cures FEAR.

“Indecision, postponement, on the other hand, fertilize fear. And finally, and remember hesitation only enlarges, magnifies the fear. Take action promptly. Be decisive. So knowing that the fear response in our body is real, but the thing that we're afraid of, more often than not, far more often than not, is our imagination. And the way out of that is to take action, not to run away from it.”

I want you to consider in your mind now how your day needs to look differently.

What emails are you letting sit in your inbox and fester because the fear pops up because the imagination says, someone's gonna write something rude or nasty or they're gonna be disappointed in me in that email, so I can't open it. And then you open it, and there's no such thing in the email. But if you hadn't opened it, you would've lived in the fear response for the whole rest of the day, even though what it was afraid of wasn't real, it didn't exist. So taking that action of opening it and responding to it immediately dismantles fear.

Action, taking action, dismantles fear. And I've said this before and I'm sure I'll say it a hundred million times again, procrastination is not laziness. Procrastination is a fear of failure. And so if we wanna break through that fear and overcome it, we have to take action.

Now that you have exercised your conscious mind, let's condition the subconscious mind.

Get nice and comfy. Close your eyes….

I take responsibility and release old excuses.
To feel brave, I take action.
