Huge amount of skin needed to treat White Island burns victims An additional 1.2 million square centimetres of skin is needed to treat burns victims from the Whakaari White Island volcanic eruption, Counties Manukau DHB chief medical officer Dr Peter Watson has revealed.

These supplies are coming from the US, and the order has been placed.
