Everybody should have a great sense of humor. It comes in handy every single time. It can ease a tense atmosphere. It can make you new friends, and most importantly you can make little kids tell you all their secrets. Who doesn't like to laugh? It's been proven countless times by multiple studies that having a sense of humor and laughing is one of the best methods to counter stress and to make a person be more open to relaxing.

Louis is a little boy blessed with a grandmother who has a wonderful sense of humor. After reading this, I can guarantee you that you will look at your children with a raised eyebrow. Well, with one that denotes care.

After a few jokes, Louis told his grandmother that he had a confession. His grandma was amazed. What could the little boy have in mind? Was it just a child's play? However, what his dear ole gran heard wasn't what she planned to hear. Of all the things for a child to confess to, this surely had to be one of the strangest if not THE strangest confession someone would ever hear a child make.

It happened that Louis had stuck a pencil in his ear. He didn't stick the pencil in on that particular day, the little boy had done it a week earlier! I'm sure you can visualize what a pencil looks like, you may even have one near you that you can look at for reference. Imagine an object of that length and size being stuck into a person's ear. Whether or not that person is a child doesn't really even matter, something like that seems as though it would be impossible to do. It's also unclear whether or not the boy was being serious. After all, who could go a whole week with a pencil stuck in their ear? But it's better to be safe than sorry.

His grandma knew that she had to rush him to the hospital. So she did so immediately. When she appeared in the emergency room, the organizers decided that the right place to appear would be the BBC's television series, Bizarre ER. The doctor in charge, Dr. Phil Russel was happy that the boy was brought in. He made the grandma understand that if he had been brought in a little later, Louis could have gotten a serious ear infection which could affect his balance and coordination. He further explained that there was a possibility that the little boy could go deaf! This shouldn't come as a surprise because an object like a pencil being shoved into someone's ear would surely do some damage.

The doctor began his examination, and it was here that something even stranger happened. He used his tools to go inside the ear of the boy and he discovered that a pencil wasn't there; what actually was in the boy's ear was a crusty old watch battery! Some might think that this is good news due to a watch battery being smaller than a pencil, but that's not necessarily true. What if the battery was punctured while it was trying to be removed from the boy's ear? Surely the contents inside the battery leaking into the boy's ear would provide a much worse outcome.

This reminded him of a case some time ago when a girl with a runny nose was later discovered to have placed clothespin in her nose! Children seem to have a knack for giving doctor's quite the surprise when they come in and are in need of their services.

The grandma said, “Where he would have got that from and how it has got in there, I do not know”

Unfortunately, Dr. Russell cannot see the eardrum of the boy.

It happened that Louis punctured it and left a hole. However, the eardrum is able to repair itself even without treatment, and this will hopefully stop Louis from further putting anything in there. Louis got out of the situation rather lucky compared to what could have happened. Hopefully, this is a lesson learned and one that he'll never forget.

This is enough word for parents and caretakers alike. The health of little children shouldn't be taken lightly. They should be examined gently at all times, and they should be asked questions. We all know how mischievous these kids can be.

Share this video with your family and friends to create awareness on this so parents and caretakers can do the needful after a child's day in school or in the nursery.
