In this video, I talk about how to get money sponsors and product sponsors for your race team. Racing is an expensive sport and it takes a lot of funding to make it happen. Here are some of my helpful tips on how to fund your team! My Resume :
Helpful Tips :
1. Make a Resume, Letter, Video, or Proposal. This is a way to tell your story and promote yourself to a company.
3. Make sure you know your market. Make sure you are going to companies that are in the area of your track or where you race. Also, make sure you talk to the right person in the company, such as the advertising manager or general manager.
4. When communicating with your potiental sponsors, you can text, call, email, or meet in person. I recommend to email or call first to set up a meeting, then meet with them in person.
5. Show your passion in what you do. People like to support people with passion.
6. Once you acquire your sponsors, take care of them. Send them updates, invite them to the track, and keep them involved. The more involved they are, the better chance you have of them coming back in the future.
7. You are going to hear no. Do not let it get you down, keep working hard.
8. GET PRODUCT SPONSORS. Sometimes it is as easy as filling out a form. Look up the company you are intrested in, then type in "the sponsor + sponsorship." Then you will find out what their program is.
