School Requirements for Students With Disabilities | Applicable Federal Laws | Endrew F Case | FAPE

School Requirements for Students With Disabilities | Applicable Federal Laws | Endrew F Case | FAPE In the second video of the series, Anna Marie Clark shares applicable legislation (and related mandates) that impact transition to employment for individuals with disabilities. These mandates not only address hiring processes, accessibility, accommodations, time frames for transition planning, “free and appropriate education” – but also established mandates that would require schools to develop ambitious goals “based on the child’s needs, taking into account the child’s strengths, preferences, and interests.” Anna Marie explains that, although legislation has been issued to help close the gap, more needs to be done.
