Flying just below some contrails on Swiss Int'l Airbus A220-100 (Bombardier CS100) We flew just below some condensation trails on the way back to London. I had never experienced this before.

This is Airbus's latest model, the A220-100 designed by Bombardier in Canada and made in Airbus's factory in the United States. These small and light composite aircraft are very fuel efficient and has the range to cross the Atlantic. Their Pratt & Whitney PW1500G engines also feature composite fan blades.

Both the A220-100 (CS100) and A220-300 (CS300) have a 2-3 seat configuration and come with overhead wide aspect ratio LCD screens. They also feature rotating overhead bins to maximise space.

The A220-100 (CS100) is ideal for small airports, also known as STOLports such as London City Airport (LCY) due to its short takeoff and landing distances.
