WisEye Morning Minute: Addressing Food Allergies at Retail Food Establishments "It's estimated that 32 million Americans have food allergies including four to six percent of children...research indicates that this problem will only get worse," Representative Patrick Snyder (R-Schofield) said during his testimony on Assembly Bills 240 and 241 at the Assembly Committee on Consumer Protection public hearing. The bills require food allergy information be posted at retail food establishments. Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison), who experiences severe food allergies and carries an EpiPen with her at all times, joined in his testimony sharing her harrowing experiences with servers and cooks who didn't know how to properly address her food allergies.
