By popular request - Our LANDing Crew and a candid conversation about sleep deprivation - Special needs and autism moms - Please don't beat yourself up for having to take a different route if you're at this point.

This video hit home for me because I have a sister at the high functioning end of the spectrum who has a career and lives independently, but was labeled as a "bad kid" sometimes growing up with the adults in her life not looking at all methods of dealing with her challenging behavior in a way that was best for the family, but maybe I'll tell that story (or she will) another day.

I absolutely detest usage of antipsychotics in children this young, but I also detest mommy guilt and risky behavior like driving while deprived of sleep and self-t*rture because if we don't self-flagellate, we're "bad moms." I do have some concerns that people will take sharing such a sensitive message as a means to justify their own terrible behavior.
