Hello this is Brandon with another Mix Minute, and today we’re going to discuss using preamp plugins to complement your interface.

The preamp on your interface was designed to be transparent. If you don’t have any other preamps, you can use preamp plugins to add character and warmth to your sources.

In this example, we’re using the Audio Assault RM-2, which models the preamps of a panasonic console. Simply adding the RM-2 can add richness and density to our vocal.
