Dallas Cowboys news and rumors focuses on the Cowboys’ coaching staff under new head coach Mike McCarthy. Mike Nolan is the defensive coordinator, so what does that mean for Kris Richard and Rod Marinelli? Are they out, or could one of them return to the Cowboys? Cowboys Special Teams have struggled in recent years under Keith O’Quinn, but change is coming. John Fassel, the former Rams Special Teams Coordinator, is set to join the Cowboys in a major upgrade hire.
Kellen Moore was the play-caller and OC last year for the Cowboys, but the Cowboys rumors were that he could leave for the OC job with the Washington Huskies. McCarthy wants him to stay and the reports are he’s expected to do just that.
Jim Tomsula was a horrible head coach for the 49ers, but his track record as a defensive line coach is damn good. He’s done great work with the 49ers and with the Redskins in the last decade-plus and now it appears he’s set to join the Cowboys. But does this mean a 3-4 scheme is coming?
Kris Richard went from hot name to hot seat in just one year, but will the Cowboys bring him back in a lesser role? There’s conflicting reports on that, but a position coach role is possible.
