This video describes what contributes to the vicious cycle of (unconscious) feedback distortion in teams. Through ingratiation, overconfidence and automatic vigilance leaders may devalue and discourge cricitcal feedback in their team, consciously or - most probably - unconsciously. This leads to team members hiding or distorting bad news which in turn leads to a perception gap in leadership ranks concerning what's going on in the organisation. The perception gap diminishes the quality of decisions being made by leaders.
