Spotlight of the Sun

Spotlight of the Sun lamenting the fracture of the veil in assembly

vivaciousness drained; the chattering of teeth

the glacial split of bliss spits the ending of everything

stitched eyes to the limelight, my angel in disguise

you now shiver feeling the fear of a preacher who has gone astray on what he should teach

I must and I do sympathize with you

footsteps imprinted in the snow running from the spotlight of the sun

I feel as though I must feed on someone

someone with a heart of gold and a smile that gives hope to widows

these years get exponentially worse veiled with a curse from a lovers' last wish

I dig my teeth into the dirt and hum myself to sleep

tell me what have these days done to me

my hands are restrained in the handcuffs of rejection; my face painted pale by the harsh realization:
that everyone falls victim to the infraction of love and what will never happen is what you're dreaming of

muttering teachings with my head in the guillotine; I will escape

and walk the spiral staircase to your hole in the wall and bless you with the spotlight of the sun

an oblique oblation; a lubricious stone and leaps like a heart when a lover arrives home across the lake that I found

in the depths of the woods where I first laid my eyes on you

the comedown from you is like an eclipse

remember when living was like the stroke of harp strings?

mysterious and beautiful..

these iron lungs hold no air

in use of my artistic abilities I will paint us a picture (that we'll live in) and we'll live from

sinking ship to sinking ship living out the ends of our lives over and over

cowarding from the choir of revelation we reach our finale by the end of our ropes
