Website: Residents of Ngecherok along Kericho - Kisumu highway today set ablaze a government vehicle which hit and killed a bodaboda rider.
The Mercedes Benz vehicle registration number GKB 661B ,was heading towards Kericho when it hit the bodaboda which was exiting the road, killing him on the spot.
Kericho County fire engine rushed to the scene but nothing was salvaged.
According to Robert Kirui, he saw his friend being knocked down helplessly.
Vallary Cheruiyot called on the government to erect pumps in the area, saying that seven people ave lost their lives in the same spot.
Police had a hard time to handle irate residents and bodaboda riders to kept barricading the roads in different places along the highway.
Efforts to reach police for a comment did not bear fruits.
