Mount Whitney California | National Guard Chinook CH-47 assisting with Search & Rescue

The California National Guard was called in to assist Inyo County Sheriff's Department with an operation at Mt. Whitney California. There were multiple agencies who responded and assisted in the search for a missing hiker.

This video is of the Chinook helicopter both as it sat at Lone Pine Airport and my view from the helicopter as I rode up into the mountains.

I intentionally did not show the search personnel and I did not include any information about the operation out of respect for hiker and searchers.

The entire video was taken with a phone so sorry in advance about the angle and quality. Thought it is still pretty cool for those who like helicopters and those who have never been in one. I did leave some of the helicopter noise in the video so you could appreciate how it sounded.
