Poppy is a Fijian native dog whose nose was cut off in a horrific hunting accident. In the north of Fiji there are no full time vets. Volunteers at Animals Fiji have managed to keep her alive with donations raised in Australia. Now Chris has gone to Fiji to bring the little girl back to Australia for major reconstructive surgery and hopefully a whole new life with an adopted family.
Unless something is done, Poppy will always face serious infections and be shunned because of her shocking brutal injuries.
No one can guarantee that surgery will be able to fix her confronting problems but everybody is determined to give this courageous dog a second chance. Despite her trauma, Poppy remains loving and cheerful and captures everyone's heart.
In an incredible team effort, which includes everybody donating their services without fee, we wait and hope that the multiple operations will give Poppy a chance at a normal life.
