This patient was first brought to my office five months ago by his home health attendant. He had ulcers on the front of his ankles due to severe leg swelling, poor circulation, and diabetes. I sent him for a vascular consultation, and he received a minimally invasive procedure to open his leg arteries. His wounds are now completely healed. This second visit consists of treatment for his severe fungal toenail infection, collection of specimen for fungal identification, and skin care.
