New BSE Facility at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) Gov. Larry Hogan and Maryland higher education leaders, including University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) president Jay A. Perman, MD, celebrate the opening of the Biomedical Sciences and Engineering (BSE) Education Facility at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) on Nov. 7, 2019. This collaborative project highlights groundbreaking curriculum and programming from USG's partner universities. Programs in this building include healthcare, biosciences, engineering, computational science disciplines, and a community dental clinic. The UM School of Dentistry’s new educational programs and clinical facility at USG will expand the School's ability to educate highly skilled clinical practitioners and leaders in oral health care as well as improve access to dental services for under served residents of Montgomery County, Md.
