New Delhi: A massive protest staged by the students of JNU, on Monday, turned violent when clashes erupted between the police and students near the campus in the afternoon. The students, who were protesting against several campus issues including the recent hike since Monday morning, said that they will not call off the protest unless they meet the Vice Chancellor. During the showdown, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal were present in the campus to attend the convocation.
