Events are real-life. Real emotion, real connection, real people, real eye-contact, real feeling. They put us in situ, without distraction to immerse our brains in what they were designed to do. Converse with people and absorb shared full sensory experiences. Not read little screens in isolation.

My leading point is that event technology has to firstly improve real-life event experiences (as detailed above) to resonate with people but its destiny is to unlock the vast potential for artificial intelligence/machine learning data analysis and prediction across every channel.

No technology sector is better-placed to inform everything else. Events are a microcosm for marketing to real people.
