ERC1400 is a standard for Security Tokens. Security Tokens can represent securities on the Blockchain. Compared to ERC20, it has extra features to deal with:
- corporate actions like stock split
- forced asset seizure by regulators
- restricted transfers (lifecycle of a security with primary market, secondary market...)
- group tokens in partitions (good for defining class of stocks like preferred stocks, common stock, etc...)
In this tutorial for ERC1400 I will cover:
- ERC1594: Core Security Token Standard
- ERC1410: Partially Fungible Tokens
- ERC1643: Document Management Standard
- ERC1644: Controller Token Operation Standard
