Hey everybody, welcome back. Today's video will be about the ONE game I have been waiting for for years. Death Stranding.
This video was recorded 2 weeks ago so keep that in mind in case anything has changed about the game.
I absolutely love Hideo Kojima, even though I don't actually play his games, I do own many of them. I know it sounds odd to say
but the thing I like him over all other game creators is his ideas behind all the games he makes. He is a genius.
His work is always the most unique, Death Stranding included. I know this game will be a great success. I can appreciate
it's artistic merit & what it tried to do. I will buy this game... but not any time soon.
Kojima's fans are passionate ones. When we believe, we believe in you, all in. I have been following this game since Silent Hill PT.
Konami took it away from us but we all knew that he was making a spiritual successor to the game. Why did we believe that? Because he
kept guiding us with teasers & hints & Easter eggs in all his work. He would pose with bottles of stuff that resembled
health aids from the Silent Hill franchise. He kept teasing us with connections to Death Stranding & Silent Hill. He stepped out on stage saying
"I'm Back!" referring to a play out in Silent Hill PT. Both Norman Reedus & Guillermo delToro were both in Silent Hill prior to Konami shutting them down.
He reTweeded TWO things I posted tying Death Stranding to PT.
Many of us even thought that the whole Konami debacle was a ruse & they did not have a falling out, that they were just playing us & that in the End they were
going to announce that DS was just a cinematic stunt designed to throw us off & then they would reveal the next chapter in SILENT HILL.
He is a major troll lets not forget.

This game HAD so much potential, but it all became abundantly clear to me during the Tokyo show that the game we were waiting for was not going to be.
I absolutely abhor this game for the fact that he decided to not go with his vision & instead go with a completely safe, NO RISK, completely linear game.
Norman & others had said that Hideo Kojima was such a great man to work for (and for the record, YES HE IS!) he would listen to feedback & criticism from the people involved
and make changes accordingly. It seems like he listened a little too much & now we have a restrained giant of a game, a walking simulator. ALL the elements are there for an epic EPIC
game, the character designs ALL completely look out of place for the game it turned out to be. Do you guys remember the first couple of official trailers with Deadman & Mads & the tanks & skeletons?
How dark & creepy was the tone of the game? Not like this.
It really sucks that things did not happen the way he was leading us on. This could have been a Game of the Decade, it was that good.
Look, the game is still great, it looks beautiful as hell. The game is unique & on it's own. But the game is not for everybody or for most.
If I wasn't so involved with the game I would be less critical of it, but when you are invested in a game the way I was & the way PythonSelkan were & countless others, he have the right to be salty.
I will purchase this game but only once it is on sale, I want to support Hideo Kojima of course, but not at almost 100$ (taxes are 15% in Quebec) Canadian dollars for the base game.
Lastly, I refuse to purchase a full price game that has this many advertisements & in game product placements for real world products that exist in our time like Monster Energy Drinks & advertisements for
currently airing shows like Norman Reedus' Ride Along, NO! Real world advertisements were supposed to be there only to reduce the price of the game. To quote Guillermo DelToro: "It was the Bastards with the Money!"
I pray his next game will be less restricted & closer to his vision.
