One of the challenges associated with the data revolution is how to deal with the massive volumes of data. The questions are not only how can I leverage the data to extract meaningful value, but also how can I know which data are relevant, how can I use the data to build a model of real-world phenomena, and how reliable is that model. This talk provides guidelines on how to select factors to probabilistically predict the performance of a critical value.
