The celebrity contestant was forced to pull out of the live show last weekend due to an injury sustained during rehearsals, with presenter Claudia Winkleman announcing the news that him and partner Janette Manrara would not be performing at the beginning of the night. ‘You may have noticed Will and Janette are missing from tonight’s line up,’ she said. ‘Unfortunately Will suffered a knee injury in training and although he was desperate to take part, after a full medical check he has been told he absolutely cannot perform and must rest.’ It remains unclear as to whether Will will return to the series and he’s kept the Strictly fans in suspense by sharing a photo of him and Janette lifting a fake glitterball. He captioned the pic: ‘Good times’ alongside a love heart emoji. But what did Will mean by the post? Has he been forced to drop out for good? Only time will tell it seems… Will’s followers sent him all the best and wished for his speedy recovery, with one writing: ‘Missed watching you so much Saturday, hope you’re feeling better. ‘Really hope you’re able to continue your Strictly journey. It won’t be the same without you.’ Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Are you ok mate? Missed your dance at the weekend. Hope you’re going to be fit enough to carry on.’ Janette revealed that she attended tonight’s Pride Of Britain Awards without her partner Will, adding that he was still recovering. Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7pm on BBC One.
