During a recent interview JK mentioned no matter what the meaning of the word implies he wants Tae to be his Chingu..친구 (chingu) means 'friend'.And they usually refer people who are the same as chingu because you refer to older males as Hyung and younger males as dongsaeng but not a chingu Coz chingu is a term allocated for same age people. Say for example Tae and Jimin, jimin is Taes chingu. And now after all these years JK has finally made it clear that he doesn’t want to be Taes dongsaeng but his Chingu and he doesn’t care what the meaning implies he is Taes chingu and vice versa.
