Hand Painted Spinning Wheel, The Mermaid

I did a complete make-over of my Majacraft Pioneer spinning wheel, based on an underwater theme and graced by a mermaid circling the depths :) I started by undercoating the wheel then painting each piece with a series of acrylic glazes. I finished it with several top coats of polyurethane varnish for hard wearing.

The newest version of the Pioneer is also available 'unfinished' so it is all ready to go with your own paintwork or decor! It is an awesome wheel and so versatile in many ways!
