Author and editor Elaine Ash, who wrote her novels Hard Bite and Bite Harder under the pen name Anonymous-9, has sometimes found it difficult to remain in the skin of her main character for too long. Dean Drayhart is a paraplegic serial killer with a pet monkey assassin. He can be a tough character to write about, and Ash says she can only write so much of him at one time. While a third novel in the series is in the works, Ash is taking ghostwriting fiction assignments for now, so she cans stay out of Drayhart’s skin for a while and flex her other writing muscles.
