How to tie Assist Hook with monofilament Uni Knot snell for pacific Rock Fish

How to tie Assist Hook with monofilament Uni Knot snell for pacific Rock Fish Hello and welcome to my fishing site, I’m tying an Assist hook using just a piece of 40 pound monofilament on a Diamond Bar Jig, a lot of people are using Assist hooks for a variety of species but predominantly you see this technique on Tuna jigs with cords, plastic tubing and solid rings for about 5 dollars a hook or you can snip a small piece of monofilament for 2 cents, I am using this rig to target Rock fish and Ling Cod on the pacific ocean off California Coast and the advantage an assist hook gives you for Rock Fish is many fish will just take a swipe at your Jig Bar and never get the bottom hook if they weren’t chasing the Jig bar in the first place, so what happens when you have this loosely tide hook hanging out there is the fish will almost always accidently suck in the assist hook when they take a hard swipe at the Jig bar, an assist hook should double your hookup ratio when your into a school of rockfish, you could also add a squid strip or hoochy skirt for added attraction to the hook itself, I would suggest adding a trailer hook as well for those bigger fish that will chase it down to just get a swipe at the tail of the Jig Bar also.
If your interested in seeing a quick Assist hook loop demonstration by snelled Uni Knot to the hook then I have added a brief demo here and thanks for watching, like and share with your friends if this could put more fishNcite.
