I spotted this we hairy black caterpillar climbing up a front wall. I used to see these all the time as a child. I don't know what kind of moth or butterfly it will grow into. I decided to move it into nearby ivy, after the filming, as it stood out clearly on the wall. Any passing magpie or crow would have it as an afternoon snack.
