Ashok Leyland To Observe Non-Working Days In September Following Weak Demand India's second-largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, Ashok Leyland has announced that the company will be observing non-working at its five plants in September. In a regulatory filing, the Hinduja Group company stated that the Ennore plant will have 16 non-working days, Hosur 1, 2 and CPPS will have five non-working days; while the Alwar and Bhandara facilities will have 10 non-working days each. The Pantnagar plant will see the longest shutdown with 18 non-working days this month. The manufacturer has cited weak demand for its products as the reason behind the stopping production.
