“Restore in Christ” Means Reform of Persons, not Structures - Aug 21 - Homily - Fr Matthias

“Restore in Christ” Means Reform of Persons, not Structures - Aug 21 - Homily - Fr Matthias On the memorial of St. Pius X (Pope, Aug 21, 2019), Father Matthias explains the key to implementing the late Holy Father’s reform: the saint’s papal motto, “To Restore All Things in Christ” means personal reform above all, after our model of holiness, the Lord Jesus Christ. There will be no end to the heresy of modernism that St. Pius X condemned and no substantial renewal of the Church if reform is limited to changing administrative structures and policies. Real reform requires the faithful conversion of persons, the members of the Church, particularly of her shepherds.

Unreformed men cannot lead the Church to renewal: the Church needs holy shepherds.
