The job of a search engine evaluator, sometimes called a “Google Rater,” is to analyze search results for relevancy and quality. The results given after a search are determined by a computer and fancy algorithms. What’s missing from algorithms is the human aspect. Computers simply can’t do everything.

Simply put, search engine evaluators “evaluate” search engine results to determine if they are relevant or not to what is typed in.

If you're great at internet research, have an interest in pop culture, current trends, and you’re computer savvy, this could be a good fit. You don’t really need any past experience to do these jobs, but you’ll be required to complete a test before being offered a project.

Don’t worry too much about the test because it’s open book and you'll receive the study materials needed. So, you’ll want to pay close attention to the study material and refer back to it while you take the test. If you fail the test, you’ll be giving an opportunity to retake it.

You will be asked to sign a NDA, which stands for non-disclosure agreement. They don't want you sharing information about the job or how much you earn. Most of them won’t allow you to work for them if you’re also working for one of their competitors.
