Union I&B and Environment Minister, Prakash Javadekar speaks exclusive to India Today explaining the Budget 2019 presented by Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her maiden budget in Parliament today. Nirmala Sitharaman announced the Union Budget 2019-20, first of the Narendra Modi government 2.0 in the Lok Sabha. Finance Minister announced that the Union Budget 2019 is aims 'mazboot desh ke liye mazboot nagrik'. As Sitharaman presented Modi government’s first budget, the finance minister stated that those earning more should contribute more. Sitharaman also announced two rates of surcharge on rich tax payers.
