First, you will want to extend your personal visa at the:
General Directorate of Migration

It is located here:
JFCM+C9 Guatemala City

This will cost about $25 US (paid in Quetzals) and will take about 30 minutes of your life.

Make sure that you have copies of:
Your Passport photo page.
Your Passport stamp page for Guatemala showing when it expires.
A front and back copy of a credit card in your name, that you have on you.
(They will ask for it but not run it, they simply want to know that you can leave the country if you have to.)

The gSAT office for the La Aurora International Airport is located here:
HFMC+JW Guatemala City

They made copies of my Passport and new sticker, title, and tag registration. It didn't cost me anything to use their service.

Remember, they will extend your visa for a total of 180 days.. THEY DONT HAVE TO DO THIS. They can refuse if they want to and you can't stop them..

I am traveling south, to the bottom of the world. I have a family and specifically a step-son, his name is Elijah.

Elijah has autism and he is going around the world with me. Follow along with us at www.SameTribeDifferentVibe.com where we share the story of his journey as we travel all the way south, to the bottom of the America’s in a 1966 Airstream and learn about this beautiful world along the way.

Want to chip in for gas? Go to :

Every penny goes towards food, gas, and occasional handouts to friendly people along the way that could use a step up.
I pay it forward. Won't you?

We make money by doing this, if you are going to shop on Amazon why not look through our list of RV essential items that we use daily.

Any purchases made here cost the same, however using our link to reach Amazon puts a few dollars in our pocket, gas in our tank, and food in our stomach. This encourages me to make more videos and expand on this education.

These are things that we use daily and feel strong enough to support.
