You may have already seen my other video for Fortbyte #67, its pretty much the same method. I think the way of equipping the contrail is the most important step and the rest may not be necessary.

Ok, so first go to your locker, select empty for your outfit, back bling, and make your pickaxe random. Then go to your contrail and equip the Plasma Contrails if you haven't already, select any other glider, and re-equip the Plasma Trails. Now enter the game and the rings should appear for you to complete the challenge!
