$6.75M Settlement Paid To Family Of Terrill Thomas Who Died Of Dehydration In Sheriff Clarke's Jail Milwaukee County paid the family of Terrill Thomas a $6.75 million settlement.

Thomas died of dehydration in Sheriff David Clarke's jail when he was denied water for 7 days. The family attorney described his death as torture.

While in jail, his water turned off because he supposedly flooded another cell by stuffing a mattress in the toilet. The water was never turned back on and he died a week later.
