Many of us seek to live a life that balances leisure and labor but are hard-pressed to actually do so. This retreat invites participants to explore the “ins and outs” of the spiritual life by opening to inner and outer movements that may prove helpful and hopeful in the daily round of faith. Participants will be invited to integrate needed contemplation with blessed activism in their particular life circumstances. ABOUT MICHAEL BOOVER
Michael is a hospital chaplain and long-time member of the Mustard Seed Catholic Worker in Worcester, MA, where many of the city’s hungry are fed and cared for. A disciple of Dorothy Day, Michael met Dorothy while studying at Worcester State College. He is the author of “15 Days of Prayer with Dorothy Day” (New City Press). Michael has been much influenced by the work of Bernard Gilgun, a fellow Catholic Worker and priest, as well as by Cistercian monasticism. He holds a Doctorate in Ministry from Andover Newton Theological School.
