How to do a quick change of a spark plug cap on a Yamaha Blaster 200 This will only take you about 5 minutes and you won't need very many tools. The reason you would want to change the spark plug cap or resister is if it seems loose, slides off, you have no spark, or the dust and water seal boot is old and worn down. The reason I am changing mine is that I was not getting any spark and when I pulled it off the spark plug and the internal piece came out of the inside.
